A Brilliant Day at the SWBBA Annual Championships

We had a brilliant day at the South West Brass Band Association Annual Championships at Torquay on Saturday 1st November.

After weeks of preparation, we were really proud of our performance of The Journal of Phileas Fogg by Peter Graham. Although we finished fifth in the Fourth/Ungraded Section, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and gave a performance we can all be proud of.

For a band that doesn’t usually compete, it was a great opportunity to challenge ourselves, gain experience, and share the day with so many friendly and talented musicians from across the South West.

Looking Ahead to the SWBBA Annual Championships

We’re looking forward to taking part in the South West Brass Band Association (SWBBA) Annual Championships on Saturday 1st November.

Although we’re not a contesting band, we’ve entered this event for the past three years to show our support for the association and the wider banding movement in the South West. It’s always a rewarding experience to be part of such a well-run and friendly event, and we thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to share the stage with so many talented bands from across the region.

This year, we’ve been enjoying the challenge of working on our chosen test piece, The Journal of Phileas Fogg by Peter Graham, and we’re looking forward to testing ourselves on the day.
